The London Evening Standard today published an article on the planned Mayday demo in Parliament Square under the heading "Anarchists plan pre election mayhem in Parliament Square". Stating that thousands of anarchists plan to cause havoc in central London in order to disrupt the general election. Part of the article is below:

Thousands of anarchists are planning to cause havoc in central London on Saturday May the first in Parliament Square. They plan a repeat of the year 2,000 riots which brought chaos to central London when thousands rioted in Whitehall and Trafalgar Square destroying a Mc Donalds resturant and defacing the Cenotaph and national memorials in Parliament Square. The army will be put on standby incase of serious violent disorder which becomes too much for the police to control.

By the way here is a brief video clip of the Mayday 2,000 riot in central London:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-cIhwd4OOc&feature=related
