Election meltdown: Mayday Carnival Parades and Direct Democracy Village
Apocalypse Now | 10.04.2010 04:56 | Social Struggles | World
On International Worker's Day, Saturday 1st May 2010, the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse will take to the streets again at the head of four Mayday Carnival Parades.
All four Parades will converge on Parliament Square at 2:30pm, and the carcasses of the four party leaders will be hung, drawn and quartered, or guillotined in accordance with the wishes of the assembled multitudes in a Mayday Carnival.
The Carnival will set up a Direct Democracy Village to occupy the Square until the General Election likely to be on Thurs May 6.
A People's Assembly will convene on the green, where people can meet as equals to decide what we really want.
Can we oust the bankers from power?
Can we get rid of the corrupt politicians in their pay?
Can we guarantee everyone a job, a home, a future?
Can we establish government by the people, for the people, of the people?
Can we abolish all borders and be patriots for our planet?
Can we all live sustainably and stop climate chaos?
Can we make capitalism history?
YES WE CAN!
DEATH TO THE OLD, CORRUPT ORDER – POWER TO THE PEOPLE'S ASSEMBLY!

all we want is a party& more democratic participation.
If they stop us going to parliament square why not go to the park on the other side of parliament where locals play football& touch rugby.
This demo isnt calling for violence& it shouldnt be provoked into it by fascist leaning or police agent provocatuers, some police & politicians who may try this should know this would only lead us all down the wrong path & only get media vultures buzzing rather than the pigeons& songbirds.
Its calling for real direct democracy a working & proven concept supported by many people including those in all the political parties, the people doing are vwell organised stopping it via violence or kettling would likely look extremely bad for you.
This is also a traditional theatrical event that goes back many, many years,
lets never be provoked by agent provocatuers wether their working for reactionaires or fascists or brew crew!,
A hung parliament where no one wins the first past the post could be good, all parties may be forced to cooperate & go for more Proportion rep-Direct democracy.
The media pack will have to give it international coverage whatever happens& of course anarchists have many contacts in the media & lots of cameras themselves.
Just Take "Piss jugs"& pots incase the inevitable police kettle happens, not point in trying to break out by force unless the police attack.
11.20, as abit of a diddicoy-gypo-new age traveller-trucker I reccomend milk containers,
their light, girls can use them too unless theres enough pot-s:).
Next time lets just call a origin@l style footy match on the park near parliament PLEASE,
alot less hard work & much less potential for trouble, it would also get attention& they wont be able to stop it legally, more people would likely turn up & we would get better media coverage.
We could even challenge MPs to a match, without having to burn anything

From Danny:
>> It's an election! A chance for YOU to have your say and make a difference!
>> Except...it seems that whichever way you vote, hung parliament or not, we're
>> going to end up with either Labour or the Tories back in power. Again.
>> Woop-de-doo.

>> It's easy to get depressed by this - but don't get depressed. Watch this

>> If you like it, then please spread it around and encourage lots of other
>> people to watch it too, and ask THEM to pass it on to other people until
>> loads of people have watched it and then we'll all get together and have
>> some sort of revolution or something. It'll be fun. I'll bring biscuits.

Violent brew crew specifically wind up almost everyone up, Ive seen a girl with wrists cut to the bone on demos by brew crew bottles waived in the air in our "defence",
lets have a good laugh & if anyone attacks us let our discipline& response be like steel.
Remember The attack on voluntary workers & welfare is another attack on all of us, to make jobs lower paid,
Dont vote conservative, "cos making it worse, will bring on the revolution", their the most pro bank etc.
Vote tactically, majoirity of people who read this are smart enough to understand& many anarchists-direct democrats will vote tactically for cooperation & to hang em all:).
For direct democracy & a univers@l constitution
