Tory billboards re-subvertised

@ | 05.04.2010 23:11 | South Coast

3 Tory billboards re-subvertised and others freshly vandalised in Taunton (Somerset).

Tories = rich scum, tories = homophobes, don’t vote – nobody cares were painted on them. Screwing us all was additionally put as a response to the blanked out part after but they care about... (Thanks to however set that one up!) A blank billboard got free your mind… and a supermarket billboard received don’t buy – steal. All were left with the anarchist symbol. A few slogans were also painted around the town centre including save vivary green wedge and vote nobody.

This is good work. I can just see that the running dogs of our capitalist system are crumbling around us as we speak after your comments bravely sprayed onto their poster. It is surely just a matter of time before the whole capitalist system collapses under the weight of its own contradictions.

I think the point is that even though almost all public spaces are occupied by people presenting the same messages ('Vote this group of liars' or 'Buy this product' essentially offering one route to society) there are some who still realise the significance of reclaiming these spaces and offering alternatives to the people who-particularly in the UK-have for decades been presented with such a limited scope for change.
