As time passes, we will see a decline in the number of hippies.

Resources will begin to dwindle and people will start fighting and bickering over whats left. There won't be anymore sing-a-longs around the camp fire. Once the winter sets in and people have burnt all the wood and eaten all the supplies then I think people will stop rejoicing. I think there will be very few hippies once people are forced into trading for a bit of canabalism stew to keep their kid alive.
