We were greeted by the cops,The Sunday Express, The Bristol Evening Pest and some of the zoo staff. As we handed out our leafletts the zoo staff gave out their counter leaflett. The zoo have been claiming that the recent council investigation into their animal abuse has cleared them but in reallity 7 new conditions have been added to their zoo licence. The demo went really well with the usual support from passing motorists and a lack of a certain zoo owner who's rambling one way conversation's were not missed. On the last demo the owner accused us of 'spreading the darkness' which is a phrase we've not heard before but it sounds kinda kool.

Our main problem with the zoo is their abuse of animals but many people do have a problem with the owners creationist veiws and the fact he has many signs/displays etc that question evolution!
