Thought crime police in pre-emptive arrests

New is filtering out that the Thought police have mounted Dawn arrests of demonstrators planning to attend the anti EDL demonstration in Dudley this afternoon.
Anyone have any more details, the number of people rounded up by the Thought police is unknown but arrests have been made of people who they believe may be "thinking" of protesting.

"Similar rallies elsewhere in England have been marred by violence. West Midlands Police said some arrests had been made overnight.

'Additional heat'

Ch Insp Mark Payne said police knew who some of the main protagonists were.

"As part of the preparation we have made some arrests overnight to deal with some people who might be placing additional heat on the demonstration.

"We look very closely at who we think it is going to cause trouble and we have people on the ground who will be able to indentify them to local officers," he said.

It is not clear how many arrests were made or on what grounds they were made.

Police said it had met with organisers from both groups prior to the demonstrations. ".........

But if you don't oppose the EDL you'll get a repeat of Stoke with them smashing windows of Asian shops, racially abusing people, and vandalism. How can you stop that? The cops you cheer on didn't stop it in Stoke.

"Updates...
1:23 pm

POLICE have arrested a total of five people in Dudley where two events by the EDL and UAF are planned to go ahead today.

Two people were arrested late yesterday for criminal damage to a wall beneath a bridge in the town.

A further three people were arrested today on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon. Two of them were also arrested for possessing a Class A drug.

Chief Insp Mark Payne, of West Midlands Police, said: “These arrests are an early indication that we will not tolerate anything other than a peaceful protest. “Hopefully they will remain at this level.” "

Bullshit article

04.04.2010 16:31

People were arrested for committing crimes, not for 'though-crime'

Arresting people who are high on class-a and carrying weapons is a good thing believe it or not

Hey Max

How ya doin! just to clarify, as stated in the article, people were arrested in dawn raids before the event, and without breaking any law, the arrests for drugs and weapons were on the day, and not of the people arrested in the dawn raids.

Always a percentage

I'm in the best of health thank you for asking. Statistically, there is always a minority of criminals at these events - there is never a 0% of trouble makers - thats an impossibility.

All what the police did was pre-empt their public disorder crimes and arrest them. Dawn raids are the best time to catch at home.
