The Rage Factor

Rage Against the Machine to play London, 6th june.

I just discovered RATM are going to play London this summer at Finsbury Park.

I'm not excited or bothered about this or the hype caused by the "Xmas No.1 Single".

I grew out of their music a long time ago, however it was originally their music that got me into the radical politics and activism, and taught me of EZLN and globalisation.

Lets be honest, the majority of the kids at the concert will agreeing with everything Zac de la Rocha says on stage, but many of them simply don't know of how to get into the movement, they don't know of Indymedia or Freedom Press as they just want some entertainment.

Now we "London activists/anarchists" etc, should pay back our debt to RATM, and us the concert as a mass "recruitment drive".

I feel that our movement isn't going anywhere quick as we are struggling with the numbers.

but this could be exactly what we need, the gig will have over 40,000 people.

I ain't going to organise this,as no one ever listens to me!

but if someone would like to take the challenge then please do!

great idea, hand out flyers, stalls etc. People will be pumped up. But the gig is a sell, with tickets being allocated for free 1st come basis.
So would need to be outside gig.

I think its his point, I doubt Live Nation or Mean Fiddler would let a load of krustys take over.

Email he band and ask if you can have a stall? There is always plenty of space for merch stalls etc... and most political bands are happy to give a space to campaigners.
