Well attended, it was a joint meeting between Smash EDO and ex-Weather Underground member Bernardine Dohrn. General campaign tactics were discussed and a few jokes shared about mounting resistance to her old and our new(ish) enemy: ITT. Actions like the decommissioning of EDO during Operation Cast Lead last year have given effective solidarity to those struggling against Israel's military policies. The meeting was a chance to discuss strategies and plan for the future. Tel Aviv-ians, watching footage of Smash EDO's recent demos, were particularly impressed by the bumbling incompetence of Sussex police and the campaign's response to their cack-handed attempts at repression. Time for an Israeli FIT-watch?
