Mass direct action against the Afghan war, Parliament Square May 1st

Fuck the war coalition | 28.03.2010 12:56

There will be a mass militant anti-war action on Saturday the first of May at Parliament Square. Get there for 2pm sharp. Thousands of us will block all roads around the square to demand the immediate withradwell of all troops from Afghanistan.

We say to the government - Your are war criminals and you will be held to account! We will occupy the roads around the square for several hours. Come along and spread the word. Mayday will be the governments' judgement day over the illegal, immoral and totally unjust Afghan war!

Fuck the war coalition

Ok, so is this something organised? Who's organising it? What groups are getting involved? From where are you going to get these "thousands"? Links with more details would be helpful

Or has one single person decided to "organise" this, and just put this post on indymedia. Nobody will come based on just that post - and why should they? Or is it a desperate attempt to drag some more people down to Meltdown event?

I worry indymedia has killed proper organising. It has a place and a role, but it doesn't seem to be currently fulfilling its role.
We need to raise our game!
