London's gay art festival announces OPEN call for submissions

An open call for submissions is announced by GFEST – Gaywise FESTival 2010 on its website: http://www.gaywisefestival.org.uk
GFEST is recognised as London's lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) and queer cross - art festival for all. The three main categories open for submissions are: Short Films, Performances, Visual Art.
BBC London : The biggest thing going on in London (in November 2009)
GFEST, an annual event in London's cultural calendar in November, is supported by the Mayor of London and Arts Council England for the past three years. Last year BBC London and some international media coverage described GFEST as 'biggest event happening'. British Airways, Eurostar, Best Western Hotels, Red Carnation Hotels, Visit London, Visit Britain coverage for GFEST 09 was a great help and encouraged tourists to attend GFEST last year.
Artistic director of GFEST, Niranjan Kamatkar said, “Judging from many enquires after GFEST 09, we are expecting a number of very high quality submissions this year. I am pleased to say that due to ever expanding interest and wider support from the artistic and gay community, we can organise a better GFEST 2010.”
Deadline for GFEST 2010 submissions is 2ndnd July 2010. A panel of eminent selectors will choose the entries carefully in mid July.
GFEST 09 presented a body of work from over a hundred LGBT and queer artists, practitioners and filmmakers in over 8 venues.
