UKIP not welcome in Romsey

UKIP billboard improved by local people

say no to mass racism
say no to mass racism

UKIP bollocks!
UKIP bollocks!

A UKIP billboard on Mill Road has been improved, it now reads '5000 new people settle here every week - welcome!' 'Say no to mass racism', and finally, 'fuck UKIP'. Deep Romsey does not welcome racists of any kind, even the 'keep the pound' pathetic ones.

cool - but please re-size

24.03.2010 19:41

cool work, but it took me ages and almost crashed my laptop to view it.
please re-size photos in future, you can do it in paint, photoshop, GIMP (avalable for linux) and most photo/picture editors.
perhaps someone should post a how-to on picture re-sizing, as its a common problem.

Obviously ...

24.03.2010 21:35

... it will be the electorate of Romsey who will decide to what extent UKIP are or are not "welcome" in their constituency, not you or your fellow soap-dodgers.

Reality Check

ukip not the point

24.03.2010 22:51

I think that the fact that it's a ukip poster is less relevant, and what has been targetted is the xenephobic message. Obviously, the romsey electorate will show ukip how unwelcome they are in the elections, but it is more important that when we walk down the street we don't have to swallow their rubbish messages without the opportunity to respond.

Ukip PPC Responds

25.03.2010 07:41

As the Ukip PPC candidate for Romsey, I welcome any opportunity to discuss our range of policies with the electorate. In particular, I would welcome any opportunity for dialogue with those who added their message to our billboard. However, as I am already in a loving relationship with a wonderful person, I am afraid I will have to decline the offer expressed in the latter part of the amendment to our billboard.

UKIP are Nazi Fascists

19.05.2011 00:07

What a well presented and mature argument.
Racism: Discriminating against a human being based entirely on their race.
Unfortunately. Opposing mass immigration is not racist. I suppose mainly because immigrant isn't a race, you cannot tell if someone has moved from one country to another in their lifetime via a genetic screening. We are the same race as people from eastern Europe and CNS-wielding parties still oppose mass immigration from these countries, and would oppose it if it came from France or the US. Why? Because it has nothing to do with race. If it read "5000 Asians settle here every week" then this would be an entirely different situation but it doesn't, they are opposed the mass immigration because of what it does to society, the economy and the countries infrastructure. Unemployment, something people like this would most likely happily burn a shop down in London in protest of, is at stupidly high levels, so where is the logic in letting 5000 PEOPLE in each week, half of which will never work and most of which will flee to the Islamic ghettos were Islamic law is practised along side anti British preaching (Watch 'Britain Islamic Republic' - 4OD). For the ones who do work, well, they replace posts that could be taken by unemployed British PEOPLE because they are prepared to work for cheaper and in illegal conditions. Mass migration on this scale damages society. Only 20% of British Muslims put Britain first and are therefore British, because Islam and British values do not mix and if you want to see what happens when what you want proceeds then take a walk around Paris on prayer day, or a look the rape rates in Sweden (and who committed every single one in the capital last year). I don't think anyone could give me a model or plan we are following that has worked, maybe India, look how enriched they have become. If you want to know how it damages our economy them look at how much social security costs our government and how much it costs when we have to take on a family of eleven to live in a £1,000,000 council mansion and how much we have to pay in benefits. The percentage of British People in Britain is shrinking but the overall population is rising, it doesn't take much imagination to work out what happens to transport, healthcare and education because it is happening already.
After it has been agreed that this has nothing to do with race then they pull out their big word - Xenophobia. Well, were the people who fought in WW1 and WW2 xenophobic? No. Attacking other countries is, defending yours isn't. Acknowledging that your way of life IS superior to others' isn't. And it's the same when they refer to Euroscepticism, which is actually more closely linked to the WW1/2 point because the EU started off as a Nazi plan for post conquered Europe.
I capitalised PEOPLE because race has nothing to do with, say, being British, what does though is considering yourself British and being proud of it and what it means.
