The not-so-secret plan of the UAF to get even more bad publicity for the EDL than they create themselves appears to have backfired. Why did the comrade admit he was UAF? He should have stuck to the story that he was EDL.

What strikes me is that this is the kind of offence that gets taken to court - and so far only 4 people have been charged - all on public order offences.

Yet the cops briefed the press, claioming that the UAF were violent because they had arrested so many. And the press happily reported it that way.

Since when has it been illegal to give a Nazi salute to a cop?

EDL seem to give genuine Nazi salutes (rather than ironic like this one) all the time and get no hassle.

Ironically the behaviour of the police in arresting and charging him for this kind of proves his point!

He was taking the piss out of the copper that was hassling him, I've done the same to coppers before and teachers when I was a kid - basically calling them a jumped up little hitler - which they are/were.

What I want to know is how come this lad was arrested but the hundreds of seig heiling EDL twats haven't been?

Wouldn't that be lying and be dishonest? Surely people would see through that and just think that the UAF are a bunch of lying scumbags?
