As the recent revelations from "Officer A" prove, trots are inherently untrustworthy. Their heirarchical form of organisation make police infiltration a snap. Also you must bear in mind that their aims are not the same as your aims - their aims are to build up their party and sell papers at all costs, no matter what. This is what underlies their treacherous mentality, they have loyalty only to the Party, and no-one else.

The environmentalist movement of the 1990s had a strict zero-tolerance policy towards Trots, you could not join a campaign and be a member of a trot party. This should be brought back into play going forward.

That's actually an excellent example of how you are wrong ;-)

Trot infiltrators tend to get high up in the ranks and end up virtually running things.

Infiltrators in animal rights and anarchist groups tend to be hangers-on who don't actually find out very much, since there aren't really any ranks to rise though.

Trot - agree with you on black bloc- they're a major reason some people are no longer politically active, they have been caught out many times starting violence and their presence on demos is very intimidating for occaisional protestors.

But there was no black bloc in the 90s (at least in the early / mid 90s).

What went wrong?
