CHARLES RIVER LABORATORIES EXPOSED

The University of Bradford work closely with Charles River Laboratories (CRL); we have evidence of them using the firm as a source for animal supply on a number of occassions as an alternative to Harlan UK and Marshall Europe to gain specific genetic strains of rodents when non can be sourced elsewhere. This often involves importing the animals from the USA.

Today, investigations are being completed at a CRL facility, where over 30 primates were found dead in a room, following being essentially cooked alive, after staff incompetence. Another primate died after being sent through a cage washer while still in it’s cage.

This is a primae example of the gross misconduct which occurs inside animal testing laboratories, whether it be inside the University of Bradford or the companies they deal with and why we fight on to rid vivisection from academic institutions.
