DWP Civil Servants were on official strike on Monday 8th and Tuesday 9th March 2010, as a protest against the proposed scrapping of the Civil Service Compensation Scheme.
If scrapped, this would allow the Government to make mass redundancies on the cheap and deny many Civil servants any compensation rightly earned and owed to them.

another way to go on strike would be to lose peoples files in the tax office and send letters to the effect to people concerned, SORRY YOU OWE THE GOVERNMENT NOTHING.

little sympathy

09.03.2010 17:27

don't have much sympathy for the kind of people who trawl facebook, signing depressed people off benefits because a pic showed them smiling, or secretly filming people with conditions which vary from day to day, sometimes they can walk, others semi-paralysed, then willfully taking better days as evidence of health, thereby violating their human rights twice, 1st with secret filming, then cutting off their benefits without any kind of trial procedure.

They treat the sick like scum, in a way that goes well beyond any requirements of the state.

They should be treated like scum in return!

I agree, you work the Man crushing the poor, then you act surprised when the State screws you over too? Tough noogies.

a day off

09.03.2010 22:15

oh well, a nice day off from treating the sick like criminal suspects.

i wouldn't give them the time of day.

working for the dwp is in the same moral league as debt collectors and loan sharks in my book.

they have the summary, and legally questionable power to make people's live an equal misery.

sick of the dwp staff
