As above Tory dominated Shepway District Council gave planning permission for tiny Lydd Airport on Romney Marsh the go ahead for its expansion plans. This despite the counciols officers again recommending refusal recently and the massive opposition from locals and campaigning groups. (Lydd airport action group/Keep the Marsh Special Alliance, CPRE, RSPB, Natutral England etc etc etc.

It is sheer bloody minded short termism and myopia by SDC in most peoples views
However, the campaign goes on now to force it to a Public Inquiry as we have at least 4 out of the 5 grounds for such on our side.
