New eco village starting soon in London

Diggers360 | 20.02.2010 12:32

Following the eviction threat to Kew eco village, there will be a new eco village set up in London. A new site has already been located. People are needed to help set it up. A couple of other sites have also been located incase the chosen site gets blocked off before we can occupy it. No details of the location can be given at this stage.

Full details of the site will be posted on here within a couple of weeks when the eco village is set up. But first people are needed to help out with it.
Contact  diggers360@yahoo.co.uk for more details and to get involved.

Sorry to hear you've been evicted. What if you were to rent/buy some land and set up a permenant community that won't get evicted. Surely all the work is going to go to waste if you keep getting moved on?

Good luck.

We have not been evicted yet. But the owners St George Development have now got planing permission to build flats on the site. So we could have a few weeks left or even a few months. But we want to get another eco village started long before our eviction date. We also want to get other eco villages set up and running regardless of the situation concerning the Kew Bridge site because we think eco villages on empty derelict land are a good idea.

We would like to see a network of eco villages on derelict land across the country if possible there has recently been one started in Bristol.

Once again if you would like to help out at our new site which will be set up in the London area soon then email us at  diggers360@yahoo.co.uk
