Camden UKCMRI Bio Hazard Lab. Local newspapers were not told of public meeting

Stop Camden Bio Hazard and Anima Lab | 20.02.2010 01:53 | Animal Liberation | Bio-technology | Repression

There are plans to build a high level [3+] virus containment facility & animal testing lab in Camden on a Council house estate alongside St Pancras International behind the British Library. A public meeting was held last week in Camden. The UKCMRI did not inform the Camden New Journal & Camden Gazette prior to the public meeting at St Mary & St Pancras Primary School.

There has been so little publicity from UKCMRI and public consultation around the lab proposals that local people are asking, what is there to be so secretive about? A follow up residents was meeting was held this week at Camden Town Hall. There will be another residents meeting in a few weeks time which will be held once we have obtained legal advice regarding the campaign.
