There are plans to build a new science park in Stevenage, Hertfordshire. This will include new animal testing labs. According to Big Pharma journals the GSK and Wellcome Trust have joined forces with the UK Government to build the new sceince park in Stevanage so that they can "compete with America" in the research industry. It seems that the UK is being tuurned into "Science Island".
