EDL, EDP and Cheerleaders Against Islamic Extremism

A intriguing coalition has developed between members of the EDL Youth Wing, namely Joel Titus, Darren Marsh of the EDP, Bill Baker of that ilk and the young asian/muslim feminists of the Al Hur Al Ayn/Cheerleaders against Islamic Extremism

The Cheerleaders, who pride themselves on the opposition to islamic extremism and harrasment of e.g. Anjem Choudary, have long been facebook friends with all the leadership of the EDL

It will certainly alienate the hardcore neo-nazis in the EDL, and maybe move the EDL towards a more general anti-religion stance. Maybe instead of opposing the EDL we should adopt an entryist strategy, all join up, and change them to a more anarchist/atheist viewpoint!

Some political forms of Islam are in themselves massively authoritarian and just as fascist as organisations like the BNP.

EDL should be offered the chance to kick the fascists and racists out of their ranks for good by whatever means necessary. Whilst they march side by side with people pulling nazi salutes they are the enemy. Maybe this is giving what is essentially a group of people looking for a ruck to much credit?

Saying that, their nationalistic streak will always leave a bad taste in my mouth.

Anti-fascist would get far more support if they weren't considered by the public as apologists for Muslim fundamentalism.

Towards freedom from all forms of repression.

Well, on the Cheerleadered Facebook page, Tasneem Joel Spazchild who is one of the moderators states:-

"Someone's been shit-stirring...
I find it so funny that according to this man, my friend Luke (with the Panda t-shirt) is apparently an EDL member.. LMAO!!! He's an English Lit and Creative Writing student in my class!!!! People need to pull their finger out and possibly make better use of their time...LOL!"

The same Facebook group also pokes fun at the EDL here:-
