SHAC court case - why are Indy hiding public reporting

SHACWATCH | 16.02.2010 15:26

For reasons known only to the secretive inner elite who control editorial passwords on Indy UK the news of the Astra Zeneca court injunction is being hidden or removed altogether.

Yesterday there were five separate posts detailing the court injunction that Astra Zeneca obtained that shut down the SHAC website, today we see from the 'View All Posts' section that three of them have been removed altogether and two of them have been hidden.

Why we wonder, this news is all over animal rights websites both in the UK and here in the US. There are no legal restrictions stopping publication, reporting does not break any of the Editorial Guidelines so again we ask, why ?

Could it be that the news that once again SHAC was infiltrated, that once again details of SHAC supporters are in the hands of the police, that once again arrests are likely as a result has caused those supporters of SHAC among the Indy collective to attempt to surpress the news ?

Surely not, I mean they would never do that would they ? Any more than they would cover up the fact that they logged IP details of posters for years and then gave them up to the police when they were served with a warrant last year.

Yeah these been a lot of this in the past when it comes to shac stuff. When Radford was revealed there had been talk of it in advance for weeks on the web but everything was supressed by Indy. I think that one or two of the mods are strong supporters of shac so they shut down any critical posts pretty fast. This court stuff seems to relate to a woman who has copied a whole load of details so I guess that shac don't want people to know they've screwed up again.

Probably because there is no injunction

Alternatives exist

SHAC as a group and a campaign is dead, most in the AR world know that but SHAC is not AR and AR is not SHAC. There are many other groups working hard to achieve what we all want, try the Vegan Society, SPEAK, what about Hunt sabbing all of these are ways to work and contribute.

The failure of one group is not the failure of the movement.
