The Liberal Democrat leader has sacked his health spokeswoman in the House of Lords after comments she made about alleged organ trafficking in Haiti.
Jenny Tonge told the Jewish Chronicle there should be an inquiry into claims that Israeli troops sent there after the earthquake were trafficking organs.
Nick Clegg said the comments were "wrong, distasteful and provocative" and dismissed her from her post.

London and Gaza, Feb. 13, 2010 (Pal Telegraph) - The dismissal of Baroness Jenny Tonge from her post as health spokesperson for the British Liberal Democrat party discourages freedom of expression and the search for truth, says the editorial team of the Palestine Telegraph.
Tonge was fired after calling in the Jewish Chronicle for an independent inquiry to disprove accusations of organ theft by the Israeli earthquake-relief team in Haiti. Concerns about possible organ theft by Israeli medical-relief workers were aired by a Jewish columnist for the Palestine Telegraph, Stephen Lendman.

On January 20, Lebanon's Al-Manar TV reported on the mission, citing a damning You Tube video posted by an American named T. West from a group called AfriSynergy Productions.
"The video presents something to think about while exploiting the horrible tragedy that has befallen Haiti where Israeli occupation soldiers are engaged in organ trafficking."

This one couldn't be simpler - Tonge picked up a bullshit internet story from some random twit, one with strong anti-Semitic overtones, and insisted that the story must be treated as true until it was disproved. Clegg then explained to her forcefully that this is not how the world worked outside the realm of paranoid conspiracy-mongers.

As far as Lendman, his "global research" site is Troofer heaven. Check it out and see. So you've got one paranoid nutcase citing another paranoid nutcase, and according to the Baroness this means we must treat it as true until demonstrated otherwise.

Tonge has realized that she's stepped in it, and retracted her claim.

It is well known that Lady Tonge has had a long-standing love for Hamas. She is on the record as praising Hamas leaders.

But what most people don't know is that Hamas' former head, Abdel Aziz Rantisi, was a pediatrician!

Could Rantisi have been funneling innocent Palestinian children to the Baroness for her alleged kiddie orgies?

It seems unlikely, but the evidence is certainly building up, and the rumours show no signs of stopping anytime soon. More and more people are demanding a full, independent investigation so that Jenny Tonge can clear her name from these scurrilous accusations that are popping up on the Internet, including on sites that are hosted by Google itself.

In the House of Lords debates on Wednesday morning Baroness Tonge asked a shocking question:

"To ask Her Majesty's Government how they are assisting the 37,000 pregnant women in Haiti to receive adequate antenatal and postnatal care and a clean and safe delivery."

Given the unfounded - and yet continuing - rumors of Baroness Tonge's history of molesting small children, especially those who have been disadvantaged from birth, this request comes dangerously close to appearing as if the Baroness is actively planning to create the next generation of victims for her allegedly perverted and sick desires.

As a public figure, Jenny Tonge must not only be above reproach, but must appear to be above reproach. This request shows a shocking lack of judgment on her part, and it only adds fuel to the fire of the unfair and yet never disproven rumors of her disgusting appetites.

She needs to come clean and prove the rumors wrong, for her own sake.
