Demonstrations in Paris against Huntington Life Sciences (HLS)

Friday, January 29th was the global day of action against AstraZeneca, a large pharmaceutical company which is one of the biggest clients of Huntington Life Sciences (HLS), the biggest European laboratory responsible for the torture and death of 500 animals a day.
Before going to the main entrance of AstraZeneca, we made a little detour past Novartis for a not so friendly visit. Novartis is also a client of HLS. Megaphones were used to good effect continuously despite the pouring rain. We made signs to employees (who were watching us through their windows) to come and talk to us, but none of them dared. Maybe they were scared of retaliation from Big Brother Novartis because the security guards were watching them and because of the many cameras on the site ?
Afterwards we went to the front of the AstraZeneca building, where we also used the megaphones, showed posters and we unrolled a banner accusing them of making money out of tortured animals. We gave out leaflets to employees coming out of their cosy offices, which explained the reasons for our presence.
Give up HLS !
