Two members of the management team at the University of Bradford, Mark Cleary (Vice Chancellor) and Jeff Lucas (Deputy VC and Head of the School of Life Sciences) have been challenged to have a public debate about the animal experiments within their campus and the scientific validity claimed to be held.
Andre Menache MRCVS, Director of Antidote Europe, a group which actively researches using other methods not involving animals, has contacted the two Professors at Bradford about the matter, however no reply or acknowledgement has, as of yet, been received. In the letter, Andre Menache comments; “One way to address the situation would be to host a medical and scientific debate at your institution and allow your students the opportunity of hearing both sides of the argument,” and offers to gain others in the expertise of in-vitro research to take part.
