Camden fascist pub and conflicting reports from Camden Council about closure

Camden Antifash | 29.01.2010 19:52 | Anti-racism | Migration | Social Struggles | South Coast | World

The Gloucester Arms in Camden has been the subject of demos due to landlord John Coyne's decsion to let hardcore neo nazis the Jobbik Party hold meetings in the pub. The pub is also at the centre of a feud between local tenants & the landlord Coyne, who lets children into the pub where he watches porn. A councillor for Kentish Town told us in an email that the brewery and police are evicting him however Camden Council say different.

We have been told by local residents following a neighbourhood meeting that Coyne was being thrown out and this was backed up by Camden UAF.

A counillor for Kentish Town has told us in an email [anyone is welcome to see this upon request, we forward it to you if you want to see it] that Coyne is due to be evicted by the brewery and the police following an ongoing problem with bad management at the pub including loud music played all night at full volume until morning, customers abusing local people, vandalism at the pub including shot out windows etc.

We have passed this on to Searchlight and others to look into.

Until we recieve absolute confirmation that Coyne has been evicted the campaign is still on and we will fight them.

We will not tolerate organised racism in Camden.
