Peace Vigil At Luton War Memorial - War Is Murder

LUTON FOR PEACE | 19.01.2010 07:34

Peace campaigners remember the dead on all sides in the Afghan war and demand an end to the bloodshed.

LUTON FOR PEACE - PRESS RELEASE.

Members of the peace movement will be holding a peace vigil on
Saturday 23rd January 2010 from 2pm at the Luton War Memorial.

We will ask shoppers to remember the fallen in the Afghan War -
Uk Troops, US Troops, other Coalition Troops, Afghan Troops and Afghan civilians
(it is estimated that 32,000 Afghan civilians have been killed in this war)

WAR IS MURDER - STOP THE ARMY PARADES IN LUTON

The vigil will distribute leaflets explaining the atrocities of this war and
demand an end to Armed Forces parading though the streets of Luton.

Parades through town centres like Luton inflame fellings on all sides
they glorify war and as a peace group we condemn the glorification of violence and war
no matter who advocates or carries it out!

True peace is not merely the absence of tension: it is the presence of justice.

Martin Luther King Jr.
