National Demo Against Bradford University - One Month Away

Stop Animal Experiments at Bradford (SAEAB) | 13.01.2010 02:19 | Animal Liberation

NATIONAL MARCH & RALLY AGAINST THE UNIVERSITY OF BRADFORD
Saturday 13th February 2010

Important developments have been made with the campaign to stop animal experiments at the University of Bradford and we are progressing with our aims on a constant basis. Please come out onto the streets of Bradford on this day and help create a show of strength, letting Bradford Uni know the opposition to their ongoing vivisection.

Saturday 13th February 2010
Meeting 12noon at Centenary Square, Bradford, BD1 9ST

On Saturday 13th February 2010, campaigners from across the country will be decending on Bradford so as to call for the university to end all animal experiments.

A rally, stalls and speeches are being held in Centenary Square (next to the Town Hall) before marching through Bradford town centre and up to the university laboratories.

The University of Bradford have been exposed for horrific animal abuse inside their laboratories, such as purposely starving animals to make them perform procedures, conducting drug addiction experiments on nursing animals and cutting them open with scalpels to see the effects of scarring. All experiments happening could be replaced with non-animal methods.

Please join us on this important day and speak up for the closure of Bradford’s animal torture laboratory.

Stop Animal Experiments at Bradford are pleased to announce that a meeting is being held between ourselves and a senior member of the University of Bradford to discuss the issues surrounding animal research at the institution.

We are therefore taking the step of suspending all demonstrations currently planned at both the university and their funders until the end of January, when the meeting has taken place.

Any protests following that date, including the national march and rally in Bradford city centre on Sat 13th February, are still, until further notice, going ahead so please keep arranging transport and still attend.

We will keep supporters updated about any progress made and thank everybody who has supported the campaign so far.
