The government are claiming that building nuclear power plants across the UK will help deal with the problems of climate change and unemployment.

The GMB convenor for Sellafield nuclear power plant, Peter ;Kane, will ;be joined by Tristan Denton from the Nuclear Industry Association to argue the case for nuclear power.

Chris Baugh, assistant general secretary for the PCS will be joined by Ben Ayliffe, senior energy and climate campaigner for Greenpeace to argue against the use of nuclear power.

The Vestas dispute solidified the issue of climate change as a trade union issue, but how do we now move forward when faced with contentious issues, such as those surrounding clean coal or nuclear power.
