The government are claiming that building nuclear power plants across the UK will help deal with the problems of climate change and unemployment.

But does nuclear power hold the answer to these problems or does it simply detract from developing other solutions for climate change?

The GMB convenor for Sellafield nuclear power plant, Peter ;Kane, will ;be joined by Tristan Denton from the Nuclear Industry Association to argue the case for nuclear power.

Chris Baugh, assistant general secretary for the PCS will be joined by Ben Ayliffe, senior energy and climate campaigner for Greenpeace to argue against the use of nuclear power.
