As the protest against job cuts grows at the University of Gloucestershire a new Student Information page is launched.

This page ( http://www.saveuog.com/student_information.html) is dedicated to informing University of Gloucestershire students about the University’s significant change agenda and the impact it will have on their education.

Recently, in her open letter to students, our Vice Chancellor, Professor Patricia Broadfoot, Commander of the British Empire, admitted:

‘it is clear to me that we have been remiss in not communicating directly or clearly with you in advance of changes happening, nor explained the rationale for the decisions that have been necessary’ (ref).

The staff and students in the saveUOG campaign believe that you deserve to be kept informed of these ‘changes’ and should know the impact they will have on YOUR education.

FACT – A number of staff members are facing compulsory redundancy in an effort to cut costs because of financial miss-management (ref). This miss-management is not the fault of the members of staff at risk but their jobs are being made redundant in order to to make up for this financial miss-managment.
