Is the Nigerian bomber story a racist hoax?

insidejob | 05.01.2010 20:03 | Anti-racism | Terror War

The Nigerian bombers story is full of holes and increasingly subject to criticism from such commentators as the US-based Black Agenda Report, Pan African News Wire, Mathaba News and also Veterans Today and Alex Jones. In fact, the story we have been told is not what happened.

The Nigerian Al Qaida bomber story is set to damage black people worldwide despite growing doubts about its credibility.

Evidence of hidden truth includes an October 2008 Yemeni government announcement of the arrest of an Israeli-backed Al Qaida cell that had attacked the US embassy.

The story has another Israeli connection because Alhaji Mutallab, father of bomber, Abdul, has had regular contact with its spy agency, Mossad.

Black leaders should be warned that a myth is developing that could convince them to accept self-defeating policies from the West.

Black people should try to overcome any psychological obstacles to questioning a Western agenda that will ramp up intervention in Africa and treat them as potential terrorists.

The Israeli connection is raised in a BBC report that quoted Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh. He told a gathering at Mukalla University in Hadramawt province: "A terrorist cell was arrested and will be referred to the judicial authorities for its links with the Israeli intelligence services."

Mutallab’s father was a government minister and prominent banker. He also ran Nigeria’s defence industry that has constant support from Israeli intelligence.

Other evidence challenging the official account of Flight 253 from Amsterdam to the US comes from Detroit Attorney and passenger, Kurt Haskell.

He claims that a:
• well-dressed Indian helped Mutallab get on the flight without a passport,
• second Indian man, who was a passenger, was arrested as a suspect bomber,
• passenger on the plane filmed the whole event.

After initially denying the second arrest, US officials have now admitted it but claimed that it was unconnected to the Mutallab bomb attempt.

Western media have already admitted that US and UK intelligence had advance warning of the attack, knew that Mutallab had links with extremists, and suggested that the planned airport body scanners is a scam.

Yet, there are other anomalies being reported in alternative media:

• CIA has been helping ‘rogue’ Yemen to fight ‘terrorists’ for a year,
- www.presstv.ir/detail.aspx?id=114817&sectionid=351020206
• Mutallab’s central London flat, according to the UK Land Registry, was not owned by his father’s but by a US airline company,
- www.saharareporters.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=4631:northwest-flight-253-leg-bomber-is-son-of-drumaru-abdul-muttalab-former-first-bank-chairman-from-yaraduas-home-state-katsina&catid=1:latest-news&Itemid=18-
• Alhaji warned a retired security officer about his son but not the actual Nigerian Intelligence Agency (NIA),
-  http://panafricannews.blogspot.com/

According to Pan African News Wire, the Nigerian Guardian has reported:
‘The Guardian gathered last night that even as the NIA chief executive faces the challenge of answering the query from the NSA, the presidency has been told that contrary to earlier reports that the lead and indeed activities of Umar Farouk (Jnr) were reported to Nigeria's security agencies, "the father only reported it to a former National Security official who served under President Obasanjo, who in turn reportedly informed one of the directors at the National Intelligence Agency (NIA). The director obviously did nothing about the lead until the current incident happened.”

The official story claims that Abdul Mutallab wanted revenge for US bombing in Afghanistan. He had become radicalised while studying in London and living in a £4m flat. He was trained by a growing and active Al Qaida cell in Yemen. But his potentially powerful, chemical powder bomb failed to detonate and only injured him.

Yet, US, UK and NATO intelligence have carried out terrorism under the guise of the Left in the 1980s. The head of Italy’s security service was jailed for his involvement in the Red Brigade terrorism that included the infamous Bologna rail station bombing.

The current story does not add up. Would anyone believe that an Afghani would do a suicide bombing because of the deaths of Nigerian people relating to Shell Oil’s activity?

Despite the many innocent victims of US bombing in Afghanistan, we haven’t we heard of a single Afghani suicide bomb attempt on a US passenger jet.

There is no reason to believe that a young, wealthy Nigerian, would kill himself and others for Afghanistan, whether under Al Qaida mind control or not.

An immediate affect of the official account will be that flying, particularly to and from Africa, will be made more difficult than usual. More people of African descent in the UK and US would come under racial profiling and surveillance.

Meanwhile, the West will increase its intervention in black Africa affairs and blame Al Qaida. The US will also claim that they have a good reason to set up the military base that they have wanted. They will resort to a greater use of military contractors and special operations. African nations could face more conflict and even less democracy.

On the back of Al Qaida in Africa will follow Western leaders’ quiet push to use the IMF and World Bank to create a pan-African government. It would have a central bank, a single currency and single military command dependent on the West. Although, some African leaders are fronting the pan-African idea, the US is behind it.

But, nations could find themselves in more debt to Western banks and end up supporting Western companies take over African resources.

If the West’s panic over global warming is added, Africans may have to agree to slowing down their economic development and seeking ways to reduce their populations.
-  http://www.actionbioscience.org/environment/hinrichsen_robey.html

Black people should question the ‘Al Qaida in black Africa’ story before it takes root and does harm.

Why not? He had serious injuries from lighting a bomb stuff down his pants.
Seems a good reason to me

Not a hoax?

05.01.2010 21:30

lok,

let me get this straight. A relative, son, father, daughter, mother, cousin of Afghanis who have been blew up, killed, shot, imprisoned tortured because of the West, is not prepared to try to get onto a plane or on anything else in the West and suicide bomb himself or herself. But a young graduate from wealthy parents, thousands of miles away in Nigeria, is prepared to kill himself for Afghanis he is not related to or seen or met before in his life.

So, lok, presumably you do believe in mind control or else why would Mutallab do it? But if we are talking of mind control, who do you think would be better at it? A country with the best trained, equipped and financed experts in the world? Or someone who runs incompetent terrorists from a cave?

If Mutallab was under mind control, it is REASONABLE to suggest the US put him under it rather than people in a dirt poor country.

For me, I don't think Mutallab was under mind control. He was pressured into doing it by his father, who in turn, was pressured into it by the CIA, Mossad and his Masonic friends. This is why his father tried hard not to directly tell Nigerian security and why he instead met up with his CIA 'handler' at the embassy. The injury was a hoax. If it were real, Mutallab would have blown his genitals off.

reasons 2b not flying

05.01.2010 21:37

Whilst I am hovering over your planet you call earth let me advise:
The quest of your leaders to modify numbers of and or type of earthlings has taken a rather sinister twist, once again:
The continuing wars are not producing the results required, the planet earth is still overpopulated and unable to recover ecologically, so your rulers have come up with what they believe to be the answer to the population type and therefore numbers. The use of terahertz waves is being introduced world wide to `ahemm` screen individuals, the use of terahertz waves can be used over quite a large area.
Research in New Mexico has shown that the use of tera` waves can de-string DNA, results from this could change genetic coding especially as the naturally occurring terahertz levels your earthling bodies assimilate are very much lower than the power of the scanners. You also have to bear in mind the development of longer range usage.
So the answer is `don`t fly` save the planet.

I tend to agree this is conspiracy theory nonsense

06.01.2010 08:57

I know governments do get up to sneaky things but I think in this case the article is conspiracy theory nonsense along the "9/11 was an inside job" lines.

This kind of bullshit does Indymedia no favours and just makes us all look stupid.

@non

Ah...more denialism

06.01.2010 09:08

I'm confused.

Thanks to Anon's rational thinking, it's clear to me that Mutallab was under mind control. It must be that Al Qaida travelled through space to the planet Kripton and learned their advanced mind control techniques from them. And, hey presto, a member of a ruling class tries to kill himself for poor people in a country he has nothing to do with. Either that, or Al Qaida's threat to the civilised world depends on them using specially trained operatives who ought to be in a mental asylum. But it can't be that because you'd to be mad to believe that. So, Al Qaida has magical powers.

But, what's really confusing is that members of the White House are becoming the conspiracy loons that loonie tunes would condemn:

 http://rawstory.com/2009/01/countdown-detroit-bomber-intel-failure-conspiracy-cock-up/
COUNTDOWN: DETROIT BOMBER INTEL FAILURE: ‘CONSPIRACY OR COCK UP?’

On Monday evening's edition of MSNBC's Countdown with host Keith Olbermann, guest Richard Wolffe discusses the nation's intelligence gathering associated with the Flight 253 'underpants bomber,' Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, and serious questions that have risen about whether or not there was foul play, information intentionally withheld, or a conspiracy involved...

...Wolffe responds by bringing up the White House internal inquiry, "That has got to be an area that the White House is looking into and, you know, motives can be hard to assess because it's not clear that this person was easily identified as a terrorist. Even with the father coming forward saying they had concerns, was that more of a family concern or were there enough fingerprints here about the radicalization of this individual to suggest that it should have been taken to a different level - at the very least a security level beyond more than a nominal sharing of information. That's where this inquiry, this internal inquiry, for the moment, has to go."...

When they execute the guy, they will find a small chip inside his brain which has technology 3 generations ahead of current high-tec equipment. This "mind control" device would then receive instructions from a satelite making him blow his trousers up.

Either that or the CIA pysops unit telepathically controlled him

Or was in Darren Brown doing it for TV ratings?

On average there are several suicides bombings every single day. Are you saying the CIA responsible for them all?

Let's see, why did a member of the Nigerian ruling class try to commit suicide and murder for poor Afghanis he has neither met or have anything to do with?

And what did Al Qaida do to him to convince him to blow himself up?

And let's not get into conspiracy nonsense, let's come up with an answer:

Al Qaida has super mind control powers they got from the planet Kripton!!!

But oh no, mind control is conspiracy nonsense. Damn, let's just insult people who don't agree with me because coming up with an answer would make my brain hurt.

Obama flubs his first Bay of Pigs moment as terror moles escape purge

06.01.2010 11:56

Obama's speech this afternoon was an incongruous performance. On the one hand, he angrily detailed a catastrophic breakdown in US intelligence procedures leading to the near-massacre of hundreds of airline passengers in the skies over Detroit on Christmas Day.

On the other hand, there was no purge of the corrupt, complicit, and incompetent officials who had made this incident possible. No firings were announced. No heads rolled. The rogue network or invisible government of treasonous and subversive moles inside the US government which is behind the Detroit incident, and so many other incidents, remained untouched once again.

WOLFFE ON MSNBC: “COCK-UP OR CONSPIRACY” ?

The expectation that Obama might actually do something to combat the rogue network across US government institutions which inflicts terrorism on the American people and the world had been raised the night before in an interview by Washington journalist Richard Wolffe on Keith Olbermann’s MSNBC Countdown program. Wolffe, citing high-level White House officials, had reported that there was an investigation into whether the security lapses leading to the Detroit Christmas incident had been intentional and deliberate, and thus the products of conscious sabotage. Wolffe had stated: “It seems that the president is leaning very much towards thinking this was a systemic failure by individuals who maybe had an alternative agenda….The question there is again, cock up or conspiracy. Was there a reason these agencies were at war with each other that prevented that intelligence from being shared?” ( http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3036677/#34694889) The goal, summarized Olbermann, was either a “turf war” or else the desire “to make somebody [Obama] look bad.” In reality, the goals involve a domestic police state and foreign geopolitical adventures.

Wolffe’s report had suggested that at least some firings were in the offing for officials responsible for the failure to stop Umar Farouk Mutallab from boarding his flight from Amsterdam to Detroit , despite the cascade of red flags associated with this particular patsy. But in his speech, Obama did not lay a glove on the invisible government forces which stage false flag terror incidents to manipulate public opinion and politics in the direction of increased totalitarianism at home and aggression abroad. Obama talked about what he would not tolerate, and about accountability in the abstract, but did not provide any concrete retribution to make moles think twice about future actions. Even David Gergen, the former White House official who faithfully represents the oligarchical point of view, told Wolf Blitzer on CNN that he considered it virtually inconceivable for Obama to make such a speech without firing some failed officials.

THE BAY OF PIGS , 1961 – A DISTANT MIRROR FOR OBAMA

Obama’s situation offers certain parallels to the experience of John F. Kennedy in the Bay of Pigs invasion of April 1961. Upon entering office, Kennedy had been convinced by Allen Dulles and Richard Bissell of the CIA to support an invasion of Cuba , which the CIA promised would lead immediately to an insurrection throughout the island and thus to the overthrow of Fidel Castro. Instead, the invasion was a catastrophic failure and humiliation for the United States and for Kennedy personally. When Kennedy came into office, he had been inclined to work closely with operatives like Allen Dulles and Bissell, who personified the rogue network in its then-current form. Helped along -- according to some accounts -- by General Douglas MacArthur, Kennedy realized that the geopolitical forces behind and above the presidency which were seeking to use him for their own ends were also more than willing to ruin him politically and to cast him aside as an expendable puppet at the first opportunity. Over time, this led to Kennedy's deep and abiding mistrust of the rogue elements dominating the Pentagon, the CIA, the FBI, and other elements of the US government -- a mistrust which allowed Kennedy to resist the lunatic proposals for general war advanced by the rogue elements during the Cuban missile crisis. In the short run, Kennedy’s Bay of Pigs experience impelled him to fire Allen Dulles, Richard Bissell, and CIA deputy director Charles Cabell within less than a year after the failed invasion. Obama needs to imitate Kennedy’s response, on the fast track.

Today, the breakdown crisis of the Anglo-American world system is far more acute than anything Kennedy had to face. Obama needs to muster something more than mere impotent rage about what is happening to himself. If Obama wants to avoid the disastrous outcomes for himself and the country which are now clearly delineated, he will need to mount an ambitious purge of subversive and treasonous moles inside the federal bureaucracy, along with the incompetents, time servers, and bunglers who are happy to play along with the rogues.

WHO OBAMA SHOULD FIRE

Almost any of the twenty-odd officials who attended Obama’s special meeting in the White House today could be candidates for ouster for reasons of incompetence or worse. One obvious choice would be Michael E. Leiter, the head of the National Counter-Terrorism Center , which has the responsibility of integrating all the information from 16 agencies which was so obviously not integrated in the Mutallab case. Another might be Leiter’s boss Dennis C. Blair, the Director of National Intelligence or intelligence czar created after 9/11. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano is widely discredited, and has lost the confidence of the American people through her interviews if nothing else. Napolitano is also the keeper of the no-fly list, on which Mutallab needed to be listed, but was not. Hillary Clinton’s State Department failed to revoke Mutallab’s US entry visa after the Nigerian’s father warned the US Embassy in Nigeria about his son’s visit to Yemen -- an outrageous lapse, or a deliberate sabotage. Leon Panetta’s CIA also had that information, and failed to make sure it was acted on. Gen. James Jones, the head of the National Security Council, is responsible for the overall coordination of the government, which in this case was substandard. FBI Director Robert Muller’s agents are up to their usual tricks of suppressing evidence in regard to the “well-dressed Indian” and the “man in orange” on the Detroit flight reported by an eyewitness, the Detroit attorney Kurt Haskell. (See  http://www.mlive.com/news/detroit/index.ssf/2009/12/flight_253_passeng er_kurt_hask.html) Firing any of these failed or complicit officials would be a good start.

If Obama continues to punt on real accountability, the rogue network will conclude that he is indeed the weakling and pushover which French President Sarkozy and others have suspected him to be. In that case, the handwriting will be on the wall for new world catastrophes.

Why would a rich person be a suicide bomber?

06.01.2010 13:51

"Let's see, why did a member of the Nigerian ruling class try to commit suicide and murder for poor Afghanis he has neither met or have anything to do with?"

Hmm, I guess a shared religion might be something to do with it? Especially as the US government is full of fundamentalist Christian lunatics who see this as a war against Islam.

And as for why a member of the ruling class, well, Osama bin Laden was too. Rich and upper class people tend to have more self-confidence and arrogance than other people as a result of their upbringing, so it is understandable they are more likely to have the balls to try to pull off something like this.

Come on, governments do enough scummy things without us descending into paranoid conspiracy theories that just don't make logical sense.

Firstly, people do not suicide bomb themselves for others merely because they share a religion. If so, this would be happening all the time. By “pull off something like this’, you mean kill themselves and murder others. And of course, confidence and arrogance better applies to the US ruling class.

Secondly, you may think that people see no difference, particularly racial difference, between Arab Muslims and black Muslim but if you did you’d be a space cadet.

Thirdly, no non-black Muslim has suicided himself for the suffering of black people or black Muslims, despite sharing a religion. Why not?

Fourthly, no Afghani has got into the West in order to suicide himself for his relatives or fellow Afghans. Why should a young Nigerian?

What was the young Nigerian thinking he would achieve? What strategic objective would Al Qaida achieve? Let me answer, none whatsoever.

Obama was a CIA agent and supposedly had support from Saudi ruling class. Please note, he gets other people to suicide themselves.

How do you explain the testimony of the witnesses?

Are the Yemeni government loony conspiracy theorists? Are Black Agenda Report, and Pan African News Wire loony conspiracy theorists?

The only official explanation is that Al Qaida successfully did mind control on a gullable, young Nigerian. If Al Qaida can do mind control, why can’t the CIA?

At least, your response was more than a neanderthal insult.

'Firstly, people do not suicide bomb themselves for others merely because they share a religion'

Oh, really? Which stone have been living under for the last ten years? Let's think ... Pakistan? Indonesia?

'Thirdly, no non-black Muslim has suicided himself for the suffering of black people or black Muslims, despite sharing a religion.'

Maybe they're racist. Anyway, that's a meaningless statement. Jihadi suicide bombers aren't worried about race; they're doing it for their religion, whatever the colour of their co-religionists.

'What was the young Nigerian thinking he would achieve? What strategic objective would Al Qaida achieve?'

What "strategic objective" does any suicide bombing achieve?

'Obama was a CIA agent and supposedly had support from Saudi ruling class.'

Now this is a corker! Obama a CIA agent ... no doubt together with Jimmy Carter and Nancy Pelosi.

'The only official explanation is that Al Qaida successfully did mind control on a gullable, young Nigerian. If Al Qaida can do mind control, why can’t the CIA?'

It's called ideology. Did the CIA have the bombers at Glasgow airport under 'mind control'?

loonie US agent tunie

06.01.2010 20:36

US defence department announced some time ago that they would pay people to troll their lying propaganda on the internet. FIghting the net was a major strategy for them.

How much do get loonie? Yes, of course, you'll deny it profusely because your pay is coming from the UK, Israel or some other part of the US government.

The giveaway is this:

'Now this is a corker! Obama a CIA agent ... no doubt together with Jimmy Carter and Nancy Pelosi.'

Most people genuinely interested in Indymedia would know this. Afterall, it's even in Wikipedia. As for Jimmy Carter, it was his National Security Adviser, Zbig Brezinski, who first gave the go ahead to train and finance 'the database'. So, who exactly, would deny Obama's CIA connection?

Also, most Brits, including on the Left, wouldn't know who Nancy Pelosi is. This gives away that you're from the US.

What's interesting is the posts that trolls feel they should rebut. They usually do it by insult, conspiracy nut, looney tunes etc., etc. (They attack the 911 truth movement as if they are not evidence based even though exactly no one has been found guilty in a court of law for being directly connected to 911. Even the US Justice Department admits they don't have evidence to charge Osama.)

Of course, UK Indymedia has MI5 agents working for them. They have sought to recruit people. Indymedia is also funded by George Soros, the financial speculator, humanitarian, who had no problem working with the Nazis. His funding of Left causes is to keep debates confined to Left vs Right. They can control the Left. Afterall, even Marx (with his hand-over-heart, Freemasonic hand signs and his five-pointed Freemason star as symbol of Communism) and Engels handed the Communist (Party) League over to the Vanderbilts.

I've often wondered how the Indymedias get funded. I'd assumed it was some radical trustafarian or reclusive rock star with anarchist views. Do you have any source for the claim that George Soros partly funds them? I assume you mean one of the US ones?

Beware the CIA troll, my son ...

'The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Mossad bird, and shun
The frumious Illuminati!'

Tee hee. A CIA troll, funded by Mossad! If only! I could do with the money ...

Had a look at Obama's page on Wikipedia - funny thing, you know, but I didn't find any reference to the CIA. Ah, perhaps Mossad's edited the page.

'Engels handed the Communist (Party) League over to the Vanderbilts.' Sure it wasn't the Rockefellers?

Oh, and Nancy Pelosi ... you seem to know who she is, and you seem to be British .... unless [-roll of drums-] inside handjob is also a CIA agent!

You’re all the same person. You betray your contempt for progressives with the silly names you use to describe yourself. Where are you Langley? Forte Meade? Pentagon?

And which progressive talks like this:
‘which is that he may not have been doing it for the Afghans. He might have been doing it because he hates America [not unusual], and because he has read too many Muslim jihad websites - in other words, he did it not for the people of the country but for his co-religionists.’

This is straight out of the ‘George Bush manual of hoaxes’: ‘he hates America’, ‘read too many Muslim jihad websites’, ‘for his co-religionists’? ‘Co-religionists’!!! Who the heck talks like this? Is ‘co-religionists’ taken from a CIA manual? This is all straight out of the ‘George Bush pocket book of scams’

Most progressive would be hostile to fundamentalism of Al Qaida but they’d argue that they feed on genuine opposition to US policy inside and outside the Muslim world. They wouldn’t say ‘they hate America”. They wouldn’t say Muslims blow themselves up for their ‘co-religionists’.

‘Rich and upper class people tend to have more self-confidence and arrogance than other people as a result of their upbringing, so it is understandable they are more likely to have the balls to try to pull off something like this.’

‘have more self-confidence’? ‘more likely to have the balls’? Sounds like you admire them, which , of course you do, afterall they pay you.

So, how many sites do you look after? Forget what the colonel’s telling you, do you really believe this ‘they hate America’ stuff?

Why do think the CIA would waste its time trying to discredit the likes of you? You do a good enough job by yourself.

As a matter of curiosity, I chased up the reference to Obama and CIA. Apparently the company he got his first job with [cue trumpets] - acted as a cover for four CIA agents in 1960! Yes, folks, half a century ago! This is on the intellectual level of saying that Cabinet Minister X went to Cambridge, and therefore is a Russian spy, since as we know, four Russian spies also went to Cambridge.

One of the signs that you get to recognise when dealing with conspiracy cranks is that when you pull out a point from their ravings, and point out its errors, the crank just ignores it and moves on to another absurdity. Reductio ad absurdio, you might say.

"US defence department announced some time ago that they would pay people to troll their lying propaganda on the internet. FIghting the net was a major strategy for them"

You know, sometimes I think they said that just to make people like you even more paranoid.

Massive flaw

If the whole point of this super-racist conspiracy is to make everyone anti African and suspect them of being terrorists, as Insidejob posits... why make it so public that the bloke was radicalised by people in London? That one flaw seems to cock up the whole theory.

(It's like those who think the point of 9/11 was to allow an attack on Iraq - if so, why make it so public and obvious it was committed by Saudis?)
