WELSH ASSEMBLY MEMBERS TARGETED IN PROTEST OF BADGER CULL (UK)

received anonymously:

"The Welsh Assembly's decision to go ahead with a badger cull in Wales despite evidence suggesting it will have no effect on TB in the cattle population will prove a very costly mistake. The secrecy of the voting and dismissal of their own evidence mirrors the governance of Westminster and they will be made to pay. Already in December two assembly members Jenny Randerson, liberal democrat of Cardiff and a leading Plaid Cymru AM from Dinas Powys have had paint stripper thrown over their cars. Some months ago Jenny Randerson also had her tyres slashed amongst other actions. Future actions were then postponed as it seemed the Welsh assembly would do the sensible thing and halt the cull during a time when the Welsh public can barely afford this costly waste of money. Similar actions like these will continue but attention will be mainly focused around the upcoming general action. Disruption of campaigns accross Wales we know can put pressure on the respective Welsh Assembly members. Action will be co-ordinated in a similar way to tactical voting for full effect.. Any weaknesses will be ruthlessly exploited until the cull is shelved for good."

NO HOLIDAY FOR MINK FARMER (Italy)

reported anonymously on finoallafine.info (rough translation):

"During the night of December 18 we entered a small mink ranch, started about a year ago in Carbognano (VT), despite the problems faced by farmers due to direct actions. The message was clear: fences were cut down and cages were opened inside a long shed crammed with hundreds of mink. After leaving the message 'There shall be no quiet night for the jailers,' we then disappeared into the night from which we came.
We want every cage empty! "

RABBITS SAVED FROM SLAUGHTERHOUSE (Portugal)

reported on ecoVeganarchist.blogspot.com;
video:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=etIkkz75CQQ

November 9, 2009:

"Some friends of mine from Portugal removed two boxes containing nine rabbits each from a vehicle that was going to transport them to the slaughterhouse. Unfortunately, they had no means of transporting more than those two boxes, and were unable to liberate the hundreds of others that were left in the remaining boxes that vehicle carried. This video shows them liberating the eighteen rabbits after transporting them to a safe place where hunting is prohibited. I wish the rabbits adapt well to living in the wild since they were bred and kept in captivity all their life, but no matter what dangers they may face now, they're free and surely better off than facing certain death in a slaughterhouse."

"GUARD DOG" RESCUED (Italy)

anonymous report from finoallafine.info:

"In October 2009 in Lomazzo (CO) we freed a poor dog who was treated horribly and used to guard a truck garage. Now he has found a home and started a new life."
