Same Old, Same Old

The actual number of hunts (as institutions) is in decline. Look at some of the recent amalgamations - Old Surrey, Burstow and West Kent for example used to be three seperate hunts.

This list looks much the same as one culled from Horse and Hound ten years ago would have.

Twenty years ago and the majority of hunts would have been meeting in the centre of towns on Boxing Day - now only a handful do so, a clear expression of public disgust at the practice.

I wonder how many millions the Countryside Alliance are going to claim were in attendance this year!

Mike Hill killed whilst protesting against hunting.

The Cheshire Hunt meet in Tarporley I see. They should not forget that Mike Hill was killed trying to stop their activity in 1991.

Despite having evidence to prosecute for manslaughter if not murder, no one ever came to trial for these offences.

A good turn out would be appreciated.

Is there going to be any protests? Would be more than happy to go.

What!?

Charlie where are you getting your information from!?

At my local hunts they still meet in the town centre and in most cases they totally block the town with suporters (hundreds more than before the ban). I don't see how this shows any show of decline and just maybe the countryside alliances figures are correct.
