Can Police or BBC Count?

I thought inflation was pretty low at the moment, perhaps the Police don't realise this?

In the space of 24 hours, the cost of protecting fascists in Nottingham yesterday has risen from £170,000.

In the space of 1 webpage the cost rises from £500,000 to £1,000,000!

Either the Police cannot count, or they are lying. Tough call on that one!

So, when we get our Council Tax bills and we see the annual increase, just remember where they get their figures from.

... and it was an all day event with 700 cops from all over the county and beyond as far as Yorkshire with a not insignificant hire-van cost judging by the number of white vans with police labels and numbers hastily added. What is not clear is whether the policing of the Mercian Regiment march to the Market Square and the football derby (5-1 to Forest, with the soldiers also at the match!) was included in this total. Probably you would need to do a freedom of information to get the breakdown.
