FREEDOM FOR 80 MINK (Germany)

anonymous report (translation):

"On the night of November 12, 80 mink were liberated from a farm in southern Saxony-Anhalt.
In the forest between Söllichau and Bad Düben there is a mink farm with 22,000 animals! The owner, Alfons Grosser, is chairman of the Zentralverband Deutscher Pelztierzüchter [Federation of German Fur Breeders] in Hannover.
With this action we rescued animals suffering in horrible conditions. These animals now have a real chance of survival in their natural environment. We will no longer watch and talk, when every year some 300,000 animals are tortured and brutally murdered in German fur farms in order to satisfy greed and feelings of prestige.
We fight not only against the fur industry, but against all animal exploitation!

The active form of animal liberation is the only consistent and effective approach to helping animals in such a terrible situation and we will not rest until nonhuman animals are no longer exploited!

MAXMARA PAINTED RED IN SANTIAGO (Chile)

anonymous communique (translation):

"On the night of November 22 we decided to break with the imposed reality and went to one of the most affluent areas of the capital, Vitacura; located there is one of the many businesses that sustain themselves through the suffering and death of thousands of animals.
This time we visited a target located at Americo Vespucio #1146: MaxMara, a multinational extermination center dedicated to the sale of dead bodies as garments, using skins as a resource to make millions in profits.

As opponents of any form of domination, the idea of attacking them captivated us completely; our conviction did not leave room for doubt; we do not want life to be about profit; we will sabotage their lives and their way of supporting themselves.

Animals have always been seen as a commodity to be used for the benefit of people; the food industries, the experimental laboratories, the textile companies and the entertainment industry are all proof of this. We hate all feelings of superiority and that's why with rage and a lot of red paint we stained the facade of MaxMara; the paint represented the enormous amount of blood shed by this murderer, motivated by fashion, greed and opulence, no matter that behind this there are thousands of animals who spend their entire lives in cages, with open wounds, sleeping in their own excrement, and when they reach a determined age they are killed in gas chambers, electrocuted or beaten to death. This is something well known by those who support this chain of death, whether they are sellers or consumers.
Some days ago we also revisited the CueroBat company, which was still painted red, but the statement 'fur=murder' had been removed so we returned to write it again but this time bigger and in a more visible place.

Passivity makes hardened critics into accomplices in the genocide that is lived day to day, that is present wherever we are. To put on blinders and not take action is to be part of the problem. To have a certain kind of diet and to accept certain narrow-minded ideas, that makes people into mere consumers. There are hundreds of ways to act and there are hundreds of targets to mess with and yet there are those who only rejoice when others carry out actions, as mere spectators to a struggle.

We have thought through each one of our actions in relation to the way that they reflect our opposition to power, and we have found this action to correspond to our feelings, a result of the path that aims to directly confront all that oppresses us, that path which we have decided to take, conscious of how much we have to lose but also how much can be achieved, but only if we act. We are glad to know that the tranquility of their lives has been shattered, as has just happened and will continue to happen, mocking their security and their pathetic well-being that will constantly be attacked. It's time that they realize they can no longer calmly rest and that there are those who are ready to threaten authority anywhere it is found.

The night was not randomly chosen, on the 22nd we remember comrade Mauricio Morales, who only 6 months ago died carrying out an action, an attack that defied power. Mauricio transformed each one of his ideas into concrete and well-aimed attacks, rejecting the imposed lifestyle and choosing his own path.

This action was also carried out as part of the international week of agitation and pressure in solidarity with the prisoners held hostage by the Chilean state, because we understand that speciesism is one of the many consequences of power and we equally desire the abolition of all prisons that lock-up those who dare to break the mold and take action against all that reflects domination. Solidarity with all those beings jailed by authority.

Against all forms of domination!
For human, animal and earth liberation, now!

SURPRISES AT THE UNIV. OF UTAH (USA)

received anonymously:

"Although it may be cold and snowy outside, University of Utah staff will be in for a warm surprise when they start their vehicles this morning. This evening we placed dozens of surprises deep within the tailpipes of faculty vehicles and shuttles near the Animal Research Center. The same Animal Research Center that unnecessarily tests on a large variety of animals ranging from mice, rats, rabbits and non-human primates to homeless dogs and cats purchased from nearby shelters. Something in which we have just become informed. These tests do nothing more than give the so-called 'researchers' more money in grants by changing small variables in tests that have been going on for years and years with no successful scientific progress at all. The surprises left today are not meant to harm nor hurt anyone. They are simply left as a reminder that we are serious. Seriousness comes at a cost, and unfortunately the cost this time will only be a few thousand in auto-repairs. But DO take this as a warning. We will be back and next time it won't be a couple of small repairs. WE ARE WATCHING!

Students for Animal Liberation."

FUR SHOP GLUED AND PAINTED (Sweden)

anonymous report (translation):

"On the night of November 10 in the Madrid suburb of Leganes, Manolo fur shop was sabotaged for selling death and taking advantage of defenseless beings. Two windows and their door were glued and the door, 'murderer' and other slogans were painted, and their sign was redecorated with paint bombs. The next day comrades from the south of Madrid informed us that the locksmiths had paid a visit.

Until all human and nonhuman cages are empty"

EXPLOSION BLACKENS DOORWAY AT ZOOLANDIA WAREHOUSE (Italy)

received anonymously (rough translation):

"The Animal Liberation Front / Barry Horne Commando claim responsibility for the explosion followed by arson at the warehouse of Zoolandia pet shop in Sassuolo (Mo), Italy on the night of 5th november.
Two devices with timers were placed in front of the door. We took every precaution to safeguard animals inside the shop.
The devices were composed of a tube with 3 Kg. of ammonium nitrate inside to destroy the door and a tank with 20 liters of gasoline + 5 Kg. of sugar to ignite the arson.
With this action we continue to attack the Zoolandia pet shop chain and animal exploitation.
With the bomb on this night we hail Barry Horne and we don't forget him and all like him who have dedicated their lives to animal liberation.
So many use Barry's words but how many liberate animals?
How many are ready to lose their freedom for the cause?
This is our answer to this question.
A.L.F. / Barry Horne Commando"

"On the night of the 15th of September 2009 we decided to launch an autumn/winter 'fashion collection' which leads to freedom, the only one we appreciate.
We entered inside the mink farm called Valle Salice, located in Castel di Sangro, on the highway 652, under the viaduct II/Valle Salice.
At first we cut a large part of the fence and then we opened the worn cages situated in the four sheds of the farm containing 2000 minks (not only 130 as reported by the media). All these living beings are tortured waiting to become another consumer good.
Our untameable desire for freedom is what drove us. This action represents for us the destruction of an anthropocentric and speciesist point of view, which considers other animals as objects to be exploited and not like
beautiful individuals.
At last we damaged tools, machinery and feed located in a small warehouse.

The only 'fashion show' we like to see is thousands of mink running away and searching for a trickle of water and a chance to get back what humans stole from them, the humans who deported them to breed here, condemning their whole existence, and surely not those who opened the cages!

The only way to support the ALF is being the ALF.
Opening the cages is the only right way to free the animals.

Other animals in captivity"
