Shayler now spotted squatting near Kew gardens in London

David shayler the "cross dressing messiah" has recently been spotted squatting on a piece of land near Kew gardens with some climate change campers according to a source at the recent anachist bookfair in London. We would respectfully point out to the climate change campers that this individual be given the widest birth possible. Shayler has been involved in many campaign groups in the last few years from Liberty, Stop the war campaign to the loopy 9/11 campaign and is not someone to be trusted whatever his pretensions are. Give this charlatan the heave ho and have nothing to do with him.

Come on, DS is no more a threat or worry than many of the odd-bods in the scene. Hes so 'out there' that you'd have to be pretty niaeve (making you no use to the authorities anyway) to get caught up with him. Believe it or not the system does fuck its own up, where do you think they end up? Leave him be and maybe send him alittle love.

I agree with Tim. Perhaps Steve le Fevre should get a life. Maybe he's worried that DS has something to say to which he objects. That's got nothing to do with him on a personal level, for which it seems many people find DS's company perfectly agreeable - aside from any leftfield ideas he may/may not have.

At the ecovillage, DS is just one person. There are many others who all equally have many interesting things to discuss

Anarchists, campaign groups and political parties, spy on other groups, organisations, and businesses all the time, whether it's attending meetings of the opposition, planting stooge members in the opposition or reccying opposition events or businesses. For the most part they do so voluntarily. That is, they don't HAVE to do it. It doesn't comprise part of the terms and conditions of a job, but is done for ideological reasons and to maximise the growth of their own groups and curtail, limit or indeed even subvert the growth of the opposition.

It is oxymoronic to come over all moralistic and attempt to paint Shayler as somehow lacking in righteousness for admitting to spying, compared with those I have mentioned above, who do so all the time but tend to keep much more quiet about it.

Shayler has indeed admitted to, in the dim distant past, of spying on anarchists long, long ago as part of his job. If he hadn't he would have been sacked. In fact he was later sacked for speaking out against abuses of power and the law by his employer, and had little protection of the law, let alone support of a Trade Union during this period.
