Leeds English Defence League March - Sat 31 Oct

On the 31st of October, football hooligans, far right extremists and Islamophobes from the English Defence League (EDL) plan on invading Leeds with one simple goal - to whip up fear, religious tension and violence. But we can stop this happening.
We need to get as many people as possible to Leeds on Saturday to send a clear message to the EDL that their brand of noxious racism has no place in Yorkshire either. On every previous occasion where the EDL has tried to march it has been blocked by a much larger contingent of anti-racists. The presence of a multi-racial crowd standing in solidarity with Muslims against the EDL is the most powerful force stopping them from growing further.
Last week a similar march in Birmingham ended in violence - we can't let this happen on the streets of Leeds.
