Free Gaza Movement | 25.10.2009 18:49 | Palestine | Social Struggles

Brilliantly edited by Paola Mandato, featuring footage from Ramattan News Agency Gaza, Al Jazeera, International Solidarity Movement activists and Spanish film maker Alberto Arce.

Please take a moment to watch this short film, detailing Free Gaza's mission, the ideas behind the Movement and the kinds of action and witnessing International Solidarity Movement and Free Gaza activists have undertaken in Gaza.

ISM and FGM activists and independent journalists who reached Gaza on Free Gaza's ships have been accompanying farmers and fishermen under attack from Israeli Occupation forces for the past year. They were also on the ground during Operation Cast Lead, volunteering with medical emergency services and reporting on Israel's masssacres and attacks on a daily basis. Israeli forces killed 16 medical rescuers during the 22-day Operation.

This film details the eyewitness accounts and the ongoing collectively punishing siege of over a million and half people in Occupied Gaza.

Brilliantly edited by Paola Mandato, the film contains footage from International Solidarity Movement activists, Spanish film-maker Alberto Arce, Ramattan News Agency Gaza, Al Jazeera and Public Solidarity (Germany). The images of Palestinian prisoners are courtesy of Tadamon, B'Tselem, and Sabr. Words by Ewa Jasiewicz, Free Gaza co-ordinator in Gaza

This article should be promoted here

Given the numerous lightweight promoted articles here, it is shameful that this remains unpromoted. Given how seriously IM-UK treated this massacre at the time, it looks like a short-term, hypocritical decision not to promote this now.

These are not my friends and not my issues, but even I can see this article should be promoted while it is visible. C'mon, somone here hide my comment and promote this article.
