Foie Gras alert Gloucestershire

Stop Foie Gras! | 23.10.2009 11:34 | Animal Liberation | Ecology

"Foie gras," literally fatty liver, is a disease marketed as a delicacy. It is the liver of a duck or goose who has been force fed to the point where his liver is over 10 times its normal size. Only male ducks are used, and females are discarded by the industry.

Please contact the two businesses below. Ask them to stop selling foie gras and to stop profitting from the misery of ducks and geese. Thank you.

1st reasonable, 2nd less so. keep calling 'em

the 1st place were reasonable, said it wasn't actually on the menu at the moment, and wouldn't be in the near future (they're getting a new chef, apparas), were reasonable and open to the suggestion that they put something on their website explaining that they don't and won't serve foie gras.

the 2nd place tried to make out that foie gras that's "not from geese" and is "natural" "from a duck that has a large liver" is somehow ok. weren't very nice. put the phone down on me despite my excessive politeness.
