Yesterday morning, West Yorkshire Police raided two houses of animal rights campaigners in Leeds following alledged offences in connection with fur-shop Next One Leather.
Two arrests were made and those were bailed in connection with an alledged Criminal Damage, the only basis for their arrests being that they attended protests outside Next One Leather.
According to the police, the words "Fur Scum" were spraypainted on the home of the shop's owner, some kind of corrosive liquid poured over his vehicle and its tires punctured.
Those arrested have pleaded their innocence and have stated that they were at no point involved in this and the only 'evidence' presented to them was that they attended a peaceful demonstration about the fur trade at the Next One Leather shop.
Only a summary has been released for legal reasons and, until further notice, this is all that is being published.

Typical of the police

Solidarity for those arrested, police have given up trying to find out whoever it was so instead they've resorted to pinning it on legal campaigners. Typical really, in between handing out parking tickets, speeding fines, they have time to harass legal activists. Evidently they're getting pissed off because unlike NETCU's predictions a few years ago, the animal rights movement is still soldiering on.
Fuck NETCU, fuck the police!

An animal rights activist has written "we know who's side the pigs are on"?!

This is a bad as the time when [OK they were probably infiltrators or just young people who didn't think...] people shouted "How many pigs in the BNP?" on an AR demo and people painted and shouted "Kill the pigs" at Climate Camp where everything is Vegan.
Stop It!!!!!
Obviously we know whose side the PIGS are on but whose side the police are on is another matter. As for hunt scum remember the Battle Of Parliament Square when they all got bashed?

Pigs has been used to describe the boys in blue for years, if you don't like that why don't you stand on a soap box in parliament square and tell the whole country to stop?
Everyone except you it would seem knows what people mean when someone says kill the pigs at climate camp, it's obvious it isn't referring to an animal you utter div.

Birds has been used to describe women for years, is it different because the discrimination is sexist rather than just speciesist?
