Appeal of two people arrested during the Carnival Against the Arms Trade (see -  http://www.indymedia.org.uk/en/2008/05/399714.html)

Two people, both also defendants in the decommissioning court case (see decommissioners.co.uk), are appealing their convictions for Aggravated Trespass at the Smash EDO Carnival Against the Arms Trade last year.

The case continues from 11am tomorrow and Paul Hills, Managing Director of EDO, is set to give evidence

In the previous trials, for a demo police descibed as 'a riot', three activists were found guilty of minor charges and one person was found guilty of damaging the managing director's car (see  http://www.indymedia.org.uk/en/2008/05/399714.html)

In the 2nd trial Chris Bluemel was found not guilty after the court ruled that he acted in self defence when he punched PC Duggan in the face. PC Duggan was assaulting Chris with a baton (see  http://www.indymedia.org.uk/en/2009/06/431805.html)

The carnvalistas had two of their charges, for aggravated trespass (being in the car park of EDO MBM/ITT), quashed. One charge, of obstruct police was upheld
