3pm today migrants burnt two cells. 900 people are being held, including minors. One 12 year old doesn't want to leave his father, and so he is still held, despite an offer to release (abandon?) him on his own!
Fire brigade called, riot police attack, 6 migrants hospitalised by MAT, 2 more have received no medical care. One migrant incarcerated 4 months...

THE GREEK REGIME IS HOLDING HOSTAGES; in the old days after every attack by freedom fighters the Turk would execute some hostages and go out to seize some more.
As we say, we never walk around on our own lest the Turk grab us and use us as a mule! Yes, they used to sit on us and ride us! With a friend at least you could quickly sit on his back and pretend to be a Turk!
Europe began, I like to think, in 1822. This was the first time people set out to act in solidarity with people from other parts. Even today it is ultimately this same solidarity that drives us.
