Departure of a anglo-french charter has been programmed this tuesday 20th october in the evening after a step in Lille-Lesquin, said a Cimade's responsible. Police has confirmed this information. This plane will be the first since 2005.

According to Damien Nantes, responsilble for Cimade, the only association in retention centers (CRA), this plane will start from United Kingdom and will make a step in Lille to embark about fifteen afghans who are actually in Lille-Lesquin's retention center.

French association Terre d'Asile has announced, on Monday, that approximately 10 000 citizens have signed their petition, create on Thursday on their webpage by about thirty European organizations to protest against those forced return.

Selon Damien Nantes, responsable de la Cimade, seule association présente dans les centres de rétention (CRA), le vol charter partirait d'Angleterre avec un certain nombre de ressortissants afghans interpellés en Grande-Bretagne et ferait escale à Lille pour embarquer une quinzaine de ressortissants afghans actuellement placés en rétention à Lille-Lesquin.
Au lendemain du démantèlement de la "jungle" de Calais, le 22 septembre dernier, le président Nicolas Sarkozy avait annoncé l'organisation de retours forcés en Afghanistan en coopération avec le Royaume-Uni, conformément à un accord franco-britannique en date du 6 juillet 2009.
L'association France Terre d'Asile (FTA) a par ailleurs annoncé lundi que près de 10 000 citoyens avaient signé la pétition lancée jeudi dernier sur son site par une trentaine d'organisations européennes pour protester contre la mise en place de ces retours forcés (Lire aussi : "10 000 signataires contre les retours forcés en Afghanistan").
