Doesn't seem like this warrents a news wire piece - linking to you tube on the basis of an 'hit' so minor it can't been seen and was after all in the middle of a forceful lunge by a group directly into a police line. I mean, you'd expect people to lash out - on both sides.

actually, they were trying to take back a rope

actually, they were trying to take back a rope, the police were stopping them and grabbing them if they touched the rope. there were a couple of ropes and chains and other tools and resources used by the activists. they did well, the police lost control. the activists could have made life a way lot harder for the cops.

ps. you can see the rope, grey it was, if you look better.

pps. and i was there, and i witnessed it.

You a troll lucy? See, the cops job is to arrest those seen to be breaking the law. Not batter them or trump up 'suspicion of conspiracy' catch-all charges.

The cops job is not to protect the fences of a rich multinational, but arrest those who cause criminal damage if that is the case. NOT batter them. Geddit?

If you were anywhere near Ratcliffe it could be you on those same charges regardless of motive. When it does happen to you you will be glad that activists have been highlighting police abuse of powers.
