When all is considered Mexico was put under Martial Law as a result of the Swine Flu leak pandemic threat. Nothing funny about that.

Young people on Camden estates have hardly any decent facilities. Nothing funny about that.

The road linking the two worst affected estates closes to the lab is full of massage parlours etc which shows the oppourtunites available for young women in the area etc. [I have nothing against these places but I think there is real lack of decent facilties here and this reflects that]. Nothing funny about this either.

While it's true that we have used humour to get the point across about the lab [successfully given that the "28 Days Later" story made front page news and made most of the newspapers] there is nothing funny about a real lack of facilites here, especailly for young people. Many young people here are part of gangs for all sorts of reasons...they have as much right as anyone else to be part of the campaign as it is them who will have to live with the consequences of the lab including less housing in the whole area as a result, less facilites for their own kids etc. There is nothing funny about any of that at all.

Until the Council Development Control Committee meeting where everyone can protest / demonstrate it's important that as many people as possible contact Camden Council to protest against the lab and sign the online petition

Lastly, the thought of having to wear gas masks or protective gear isn't that far fetched given that the lab will contain deadly pathogens and as I've said above Mexico was put under Martial Law as result of the Swine Flu pandemic leak warnings. If something like that happens in central London this will have the whole of London under quarntine amd movement restrictions. When foot and Mouth disease was leaked from Pirbright this was happened int he countryside. The thought of this in central London is far from funny.

Gangs that street rob, steal car, shop lift, burgle and punt their filthy drugs on the street of Camden. Nothing funny about that, maybe they should bulldoze all the houses in the area, would reduce the crime statistic overnight....

There are alot of problems on estates in Camden-don't brand all youth the same

You can't say that all young people or even all young people in gangs are doing those things and if some are it's because of a lack of opportunities and facilities around here including overcrowding - we need more flats and houses not a lab.

A lot of young people around here love animals and care about cruelty but remember that the people here matter too.

As for filthy drugs being peddled - TAMIFLU.

See the Daily Mail article "Tamiflu turned my children into hallucinating sobbing wrecks".

The people of Camden are being robbed. We are being robbed of homes and community facilities by the people behind the lab plans. We are being robbed of a vital pice of land and this affects everyone in London and beyond for safety reasons. We are being robbed of the right to a say and consultation over this.

When are Camden plod going to do something about the scourge on Camden High Street?

Experiences from residents :

Mark - one of them followed me to shop and asked me for money and for a drink. I don't know him and don't understand why they think they have the right to do this. They act they like they own the place.

Clare - One of them followed me home after a dance, forced his way in to my apartment and played with himself over my bed when I said "No" to going home with him. After this he issued threats every time I walked down Camden High Street. I have to shop in Islington if I want to go the supermarket now.

They beat up traders, kebab shop people, smash up bars, annoy people coming out of the station...the list is endless. They grab hold of women walking past by the sleeve and ask for sex, which is alarming and people think they are being mugged.

The rob people too so rob and annoy them back.

Whatever these people are doing it is nothing to with any community campaign.

Where we have used humour it is strictly that and we do not hold any "Scientologist type views" etc.

The lab poses a very real risk of virus leak in the form of Swine Flu, Bird Flu etc and other diseases transmittable to humans and pets. Dangerously diseased animals have escaped from labs and transportaion of pathogens poses a risk for the whole area.

The lab poses a risk to the environment and to everyone either living in, working in or travelling through the area.

I don't think it at all useful to treat the Camden Sanity Brigade as deserving any respect - whethr or not they believe in aliens is one thing but these idiots are an embarrasment to Camden and the post by"Scarface The Alien Slayer" is a good one but nevertheless this guy has something to do with a mad cult of people who believe that "Camden has been taken over by aliens" and who use the Camden Sanity Brigade blog as a relentless personal attack upon other campaigners and Camden residents and the Wellcome Trust / MRC on the grounds that they are "aliens".

Who is next for the "He /she /they is/are an alien[s]" accusation?
