Latuff cartoons here are always attacked by pro-Israeli posters, even when the cartoons aren't about Israel, in the same manner state propagandists. You have thought they'd have the sense to just ignore this one due it's title but they seem to have taken that as a personal challenge.

You won't find a cartoonist of any political persuasion, even in Tel Aviv, who isn't impressed with the quality and quantity of Latuff, and the audience he reaches. Cartoons are an art and cartoonists are artists, IM-UK is bettered by his drawings. If his critics genuinely believed that his cartoons don't deserve to be here then they are free to post better cartoons of their own. Typing snide complaints is far easier than cartooning though.

The message the Iranian cartoon competition sent to the rest of the world was 'Same rules apply'. We attacked their 'holy cows' -images of the Prophet, US troops pissing on the Koran - so they attacked ours, collective European guilt and sensitivity about the Shoah leading to laws imprisoning deniers of one of many genocides. Not many people do deny Rwanda or Cambodia happened though, and while it is ridicilous for any individual to deny any mass event as recent as the Shoah it is more ridiculous for a state to imprison people for what they believe.

"The War of Jenkins' Ear" is currently the most ridiculous excuse of a name given to any war ever in history, you can tell the governments were looking for any excuse for trouble to blame it on an ear. You won't find a cartoonist of any political persuasion, even in Tel Aviv, who isn't impressed with the quality and quantity of Latuff, and the audience he reaches. We attacked their 'holy cows' -images of the Prophet, US troops pissing on the Koran - so they attacked ours, collective European guilt and sensitivity about the Shoah leading to laws imprisoning deniers of one of many genocides. Not many people do deny Rwanda or Cambodia happened though, and while it is ridicilous for any individual to deny any mass event as recent as the Shoah it is more ridiculous for a state to imprison people for what they believe.

"The War of Jenkins' Ear" is currently the most ridiculous excuse of a name given to any war ever in history, you can tell the governments were looking for any excuse for trouble to blame it on an ear. "The Cartoon War" is too ridiculous not to challenge. I see the papers are claiming Ahmadinejad was born Jewish - that could be be propaganda but either way the Jews really behind it! I recently found out the Pashtun consider themselves one of the lost tribes of Israel, which explains the war in Afghanistan too.

That's a distortion of the truth. He won some money, i think, in an Iranian cartoon competition; something I'm personally not happy about, but I still agree with the messages most of his cartoons display. The cartoonist might not be the most wholesome person in the world, but it isn't like hes an anti semitic neo nazi. Recent and past Israeli actions are still unjustified, no matter how much you personally attack the people who make the accusations.
