Today (3rd Oct) about ten activists swarmed the front entrance to Madeleine Ann in Solihull to protest against the sale of real fur. Two megaphones where used to humiliate the shop to passing members of the public and literally hundreds of leaflets were given out.

We were there all afternoon during which the only customers who went in were obvious friends of the staff and bought nothing. Creating a wall of placards no one could even see the disgusting fur items in the window and no one genuine looked even slightly inclined to enter the store.

We made sure all the passing public knew what Madeleine is involved in and had a huge amount of support from both shoppers and the police who decided to pretty much leave us to it, only giving us some advice, which we took on board.

With so many activists prepared to protest outside the store it is really not the time for stubbornness. The recession is still biting hard and with no sales on a Saturday afternoon, your busiest time, we can’t be helping your books look any better! Take fur out your shop for good Madeleine Ann Leddington, for the sake of the animals, and your sales figures!
