The date for this event was set 25 years ago.
However Veggies invite the hundreds of groups and the thousands of their members supported by Veggies over those years to join us in our work, by supporting other campaigns where-ever they may be.

Yes the whole weekend is one of those typically crazy Veggies missions!

The Benjamin Zephaniah gig (co-incidentally organised by others as a fundraiser for Africa & Asia) is early on the Friday evening, after McDonalds demos and Free Food Give-aways in Nottingham (and everywhere else), followed by an open-decks night at the Sumac Centre.

The Fur Rally in London is the next day. All Veggies crew are not personally going, but hopefully Veggies food is, possibly with Veggies volunteers from Nottingham Animal Rights, and anyone else who can help.

Likewise others (including campaigners from Shut Down Heckler and Koch) are taking food to a new arms trade campaign Target Brimar in Manchester.

In Nottingham we'll be doing what we can to support the Great Climate Swoop on Radcliffe on Soar power station.

Anyone who is not inside the power station can then return to Sumac for the main event, partying through the night!

Breakfast the next (Sunday) morning will be at Brinsley Animal Rescue, a chance to chill out and help with the animals.

phew!

As you can imagine, lots of help is welcomed, from catering at the various protest to performing at the party, from shuttle driving to offering space for guests to sleep (briefly!).

Please email  info@veggies.org.uk or call 0845 458 9595 to let us know which parts of the weekend you would like to join in with.
