I have Muslim friends and neighbours and they are very nice people, unlike the fascist bores that post this sort of crap. In my experience, the majority of people, whether they be Jews, Christians, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Communists, Socialists or whatever are human beings that just want to do the best they can for their families and live in peace.

Sadly, some are so emotionally disturbed they seem to feed on any sort of social strife or the suffering of others. That's sick!

Unfortunately modern history is a history of wars. In westen countries and in Islamic countries. The divide between christianity and Islam in not the divide between the separation and non-separation of state and religion.

It is the divide between the existence of the state and religion and the subjugation of the state to religion. Which, in the latter case is nothing other than the subjugation of people to religion.

But history, though not as taught in schools (especially the UK), is an instructor. And there will always be religious elites who long to emulate the power motivated massacres of their predecessors. That's why we have nuclear weapons, and it's only a matter of time before they are used.

The whole world is under attack from a system of control based on concentrating resources into an ever-shrinking cartel, supported by repressive governments and populations content to fight for the scraps. Most people in western europe have done relatively well at keeping hold of some of those scraps of resources. Meanwhile, people everywhere have lost their freedoms. Massacres are happening on every inhabited continent, people are forced to live without basic necessities. People are hunted down and tortured, shot, electrocuted, poisoned, imprisoned and forced into hard labour. Luckier ones are fed impessions of freedom and allowed to live comfortable lives, as long as they submit to the rules of the system.

I don't know if there's a clique of nasty bastards at the top but i suspect not. More likely those who find themselves in powerful wealthy positions are too busy believing each others lies and fighting to keep what they've got and grab more.

Yes, some people want to turn the whole world into an islamic state. Others are trying to turn the world christian or communist or fascist. These people need to be opposed.

The vast majority of us though, muslims, christians, athiests, etc, are busy trying to make ends meet, maintain relationships, have fun, keep our families safe and hold onto the scraps that are thrown to us to keep us 'content'. If we're lucky we've got time to invent, party, play, pray, resist...

Turkey is a very secular country and membership of Turkey in the EU would hardly constitute "Islamisation" of Europe.

Relations between Turkey and Armenia are beginning to normalise and as a prerequisite to joining the EU, Turkey will probably be required to accept the fact of Armenian genocide and pursue reconciliation, which is already beginning.

Europe has nothing to fear from Turkey or the Turkish people, who have contributed a great deal to European culture in history and have helped rebuild post-war Europe. Yes, all those Turkish immigrants you think are so horrible helped put Germany back together - without the Turks or other immigrants willing to do the dirty work, West Germany would have not been so prosperous. Look at the Eastern half of Germany today where few immigrants live - it's still poor, bleak, and filled with anti-immigrant racists.

Europe has more to fear from all the Islamists they let in as refugees and amnesty seekers from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Yemen. If you want to stop this so-called "Islamisation", the answer is not letting in any Islamists, militant or otherwise. But the answer is not in stopping immigration or attacking immigrants.

It also helps to stop starting wars in other countries and then leaving the people there with a huge mess to clean up after. Yes, that means Iraq and Afghanistan, where Western leaders want to leave and dump the mess they created there for the locals to handle.

The West cannot indulge in all kinds of imperialist adventures over hundreds of years and then expect to prevent those people they disenfranchised from immigrating to their countries.

It's like the people here in Britain who want to deport all Pakistanis and Indians, ignoring the facts that it was Britain who ruled over India for decades and oppressed those people, destroying their civilisation and instigating hatred between Hindus and Muslims.

Imperialism is expensive and the effects last for generations, but you can't sweep it all under the rug.
