Banned WWF ad

The WWF has pulled an ad that used images of the 9/11 attacks on the US.

A controversial ad using footage from the 9/11 attacks on the US has been pulled by the agency. Carter Roberts, the WWF's US president, has said it was produced by an ad agency in Brazil and that he had no knowledge of the ad when it was released. He has also stated that he will try to have it removed from the internet entirely.

Please pull this advert

Smacks of a very edgy ad agency getting their mileage out of a viral. Make an advert that someone can find to be in bad taste. Get it banned: makes it sexy. Then link it on places like indymedia to get a debate about it. The best thing the IMC Moderators could do is pull it. It is spam. It contains nothing of any worth.

Not an advertiser

WWF World Wide Fund for Nature are hunt scum

WWF try to portray themselves are animal-loving environmentalists. In fact they were set up by hunt scum concerned that they were killing off too many species and soon wouldn't have any left for killing for fun.

The joke goes that their panda logo was chosen because it was the only animal they could find that their patron Prince Phillip hadn't blasted to death at one point...

Don't see a problem with the advert in itself though, it just tells an uncomfortable truth.
