IAF strikes in the northern Gaza Strip on Friday evening killed three members of a terrorist cell, in the first such move since the end of Operation Cast Lead in January.
According to initial reports, Israeli planes intercepted a vehicle which was transporting rockets in order to fire them into Israel. In a statement released directly after the strike, the IDF said that the terrorists had exited the vehicle and were unloading weapons.
The IDF said that the three had been involved in launching rockets into Israel in recent weeks.
Palestinians reported that there were six people traveling the car, three of whom were killed, and three who were seriously wounded.
